Neutral & White: A recent collection of cream, ivory, and soft green arrangements

These designs grew from the same idea: a quiet, luminous palette that feels at home in marble, linen, and coastal light. Cream and ivory roses, pale calla lilies, nodding hellebores, and tall white delphinium sit against sage and chartreuse greens, with just enough blush and caramel roses to keep the arrangement from reading as stark.

The goal was never “all white.” It was warmth, texture, and a sense of ease—blooms that look considered rather than formal, and that recede beautifully into the room rather than competing with it.

The palette

A variety of roses in white, cream, and toffee; white calla lilies; hellebores; delphinium and stock; bells of Ireland and other sculptural greens; airy fillers; the occasional scabiosa or seed head for a little earthiness. A simple round glass vase and a cream silk ribbon keep the presentation clean. Each version is a little different in density and height so it can sit as a centerpiece or as a quieter gesture on a side table.

Why this series

Neutral arrangements are some of the most requested custom work I do. They photograph well, they last in the mind after the party is over, and they work in both modern and more traditional interiors. These recent pieces are a study in how far a limited palette can go when the flowers themselves have movement, variation in petal, and a mix of open blooms and buds.
